stupid Arsenil blasts Reading down while Villa got blasted by a division 3 team even with all their best players...what a letdown.Singapore U23 lions too, they should have bashed their heads against the wall and ponder what's wrong.or so does many people think.since the U23 has so little experience and it's hard bring noobies to battle, spare a thought for them can?but I love the Singapore Gymnasts...wheeeee

so how,it's a typical Euro week once again, not when there's even more UEFA Cup footy to go down with.since it's held over 2 days,at least here's a bit of leeway,so let's go!

Slavia Prague-Monaco-i wish the Monegasques change back to their diagonal red and white stripes.they seem to have better luck with that.but they should have no problems in their gold away strip whatsoever
CSKA Sofia-Viking FK-the UEFA Cup featured at least a blind bet(since I dunno their form, just strictly guessing) since Matchday 1.CSKA should win 1-0

Lokomotiv Moscow-Maccabi Petach Tikva-2-0 or a comfortable enough score
Brondby-Espanyol-sub-zero temperatures, plus insistent showers, would render any predictions other than a home win useless.the extent of which they win would be restricted to 1 goal

Sampdoria-Hertha Berlin-do or die, after the humiliating defeat against Cagliari.a draw would not help much this time.
Steaua-Halmstads-no hope Swedes are more or less dead.expect Steaua to win 3-0 and up

Grasshoppers Zurich-Dnipro-forget about Dnipro.2-0 is very likely
Litex Lovech-AZ Alkmaar-conditions in East Europe can be scary at times, but not if Alkmaar is involved.a draw would be the most likely outcome,1-1 or 2-2

Red Star Belgrade-Roma-Roma 1-0.that's the barest minimum.any more, then it will mean they have to negotiate the war zone
Basel-Tromso-Basel 2-1 should do the job nicely

Dinamo Bucharest-CSKA Moscow-this is really a no-brainer.the Army Men should win 3-1
Levski Sofia-Marseille-if Auxerre's lethal shot in Sofia would give anything to think about,1-0 to Marseille should do well, disregarding the fact that Levski are quite strong at home,of which I'd be tempted to put Levski 1-0

Rennes-Shakhtar Donetsk-I think Rennes won't win this crucial match.neither would they score
Rapid Bucharest-PAOK Salonica-PAOK is mostly dead meat

Sevilla-Vitoria Guimaraes-Sevilla should do well there
Besiktas-Zenit SP-Welcome to Hell...or so they thought. If Besiktas doesn't win 1-0,at least a draw would do fine for Zenit

ok...our dear chelsea loves to hit our exact spots...so here's the scores

Arsenil 3 Blackburn 0-savagely beaten up and left to rot.this is what happens normally
Villa 1 Charlton 0-whoops not quite the case nowadays.it's Villa who should be affixed this tag
Man City 0 Liverpool 1-Rafa's Worriers cheer up once again
Sunderland 0 Birmingham 1-it's really the end for Sunderland
Wigan 1 Spurs 2-not quite a stellar performance, but at least the thinning cushion offers some comfort
Portsmouth 0 Chelsea 2-hit the exact score.those NBCs worship me

Everton 1 Newcastle 0-the shocking inconsistency of the Magpies is another concern
Fulham 2 Bolton 1-blew it part 1
Boro 2 West Brom 2-hit only the total goals.whatever left of the draw seems a bit lame
West Ham 1 Man U 2-came back from behind to win

St Etienne 1 Bordeaux 1-erm boom!
Sochaux 1 Rennes 0-oops I blew it once again
Toulouse 3 Ajaccio 0-i think this is counted as a strike
Troyes 0 Metz 0-yawn once again
Nice 1 Lyon 1-not so fast...we just tried to hit but they just don't want to hit.so nick it
Lille 1 Nancy 0-ok...cool enough

PSG 3 Lens 4-Pauleta strikes twice,but it's still haywire
Nantes 4 Strasbourg 3-not the sort of performance you would want to continue the winless streak
Marseille 2 Monaco 1-they are quite strong at home...

Leverkusen 0 Hamburg 1-back at their best
Schalke 2 Bremen 1-I think I was going bonkers hitting so much Bundesliga matches
Wolfsburg 0 Bielefeld 0-errrr..yawn
Bayern 2 Mainz 1-half a hit,
Hanover 5 Kaiserslautern 1-another German style crazy score
Nuremburg 1 Dortmund 2-hit again

(if anyone was wondering what happened to Duisburg vs Cologne, the story went that they got frozen out of the pitch)

Hertha 2 Gladbach 2-erm no...no hit
Frankfurt 1 Stuttgart 1-not quite a good Sunday

Livorno 0 Chievo 0-yawn again
Milan 2 Lecce 1-as expected

Siena 0 Reggina 0-argh im so tired
Parma 1 Udinese 2-not quite a hit,but it doesn't matter
Messina 1 Inter 2-Figo loves to score...
Ascoli 1 Palermo 1-trapped in a draw web
Cagliari 2 Sampdoria 0-yucks that blew straight into my face
Empoli 2 Lazio 3-yeah passable
Juventus 3 Treviso 1-I think there's a miracle within a romp
Roma 1 Fiorentina 1-Toni is at it again.but Cassano too,is back at it again

Mallorca 0 Athletic 1-climbing out of hell soon...
Valencia 2 Celta 0-since the Los Che are the first to score, they take credit for all the goals

Getafe 3 Malaga 2-back at their best
Atletico 1 Espanyol 1-quite evnly matched,so Espanyol continue their 1-1 trail
Osasuna 3 Alaves 2-no way out of home
Betis 1 Cadiz 1-had to scramble back
Zaragoza 0 Sevilla 2-just blazt it
Deportivo 0 Villareal 2-Villareal scored first and last,so they won(no logic actually)
Sociedad 2 Real Madrid 2-if they wanted Luxemburgo's head, the executioner wasn't really willing to cut it now,not when they have to hurriedly put 2 goals in at the last minute for just a point
Barcelona 4 Racing 1-heats up so fast, even the magazines get heated

Galatasaray 0 Fenerf**k 1-you know what?we just don't know who the Hell went to Hell to make a Hell lot of trouble in it
Cercle Brugge 0 Club Brugge 1-a win is not enough if they need to keep up the standard needed for the title but there's still some warmth since Standard Liege vs Anderlecht was cancelled due to a bad freeze
Scotland:all the big 3 went firing in the hole.Celtic blanked out,Rangers blacked out and Hearts got blunted

George Best,1946-2005

It is with the greatest sadness that the Dugout Times have to report the loss of one of the greatest footballers in the world, the most talented of players even better than most of today's players.had he played in the world cup and not been so heavy an alcoholic,he would have surpassed even Ferenc Puskas and Alfredo di Stefano.the Dugout Times extends its greatest condolences to the family of George Best and Manchester United

yeah at the other end of the channel here's a score

Le Mans 0 Auxerre 2-whatever the case the newly promoted side is way too strong for the Auxerrois

oh before I forget, here's the match of the week, and it's some big time fixture

27-11:Ali Sami Yen

Welcome to Hell and this is big.we're talking about Galatasaray vs Fenerfarce.hahaha!having Hakan Sukur back from injury is a welcome boost, though mr Gerets would be wondering what to do with Ilic and Heinz.Fenerfarce meanwhile welcome back the other 3 Brazilians whom they sorely missed during the 4-0 Milan drubbing.since it's in the Red Hell, this works in the favour of Gala.

prediction:Gala must win this one and i think they will do so in some style.2-0 or 2-1

back at Belgium though, here's Standard Liege vs Anderlecht.not that they want to cut the 2 point gap back at the top,but Liege is in somewhat fine form nowadays and there's infighting after 5 losses and a joker 11 game losing streak in the champs league.it's full energy for anderlecht while standard are somewhat decimated by suspensions

prediction:this might be quite tricky.a variety of choices is thus offered in standard fashion.a)Standard 2-1,b)Anderlecht 1-0.c)draw 3-3.I'd go for a draw, but not so high a score

UEFA Cup scores out now...we Love CSKA

Viking 2 Slavia Prague 2-not quite, having to come back from behind twice
Monaco 2 Hamburg 0-erm that trick blew straight up in my face!

Espanyol 1 Palermo 1-(shrugs shoulders)I dunno what the hell happened
(24 h ago)Loko Moscow 4 Brondby 2-cold enough to thrash

Halmstads 1 Sampdoria 3-hahahaa it's a hit
Hertha Berlin 0 Lens 0-YAWNNNNNNNNN(this is implied)

AZ Alkmaar 0 Boro 0-it doesn't matter which score,Boro are through
Dinpro 0 Litex Lovech 2-hey no...Dnipro are finished

Tromso 3 Red Star Belgrade 1 -no way.I'm not a sniper
Roma 1 Strasbourg 1-had I risked an eye and a leg for a draw,it would have paid off.now Strasbourg are through

CSKA Moscow 2 Levski Sofia 1-we love Love so much, even Levski are awed...so much for being my favourtie Bulgarian side.I Love the Russians
Marseille 1 Hereenveen 0-when good they win, when no so good, they have to use a late penalty.no fear, cause they need that score

PAOK 1 Stuttgart 2-not so late.they escaped early
Shakhtar 0 Rapid Bucharest 1-another blowup.hence this Lucescu sr vs Lucescu jr game is a writeoff as far as i'm very much concerned

Vitoria Guimaraes 1 Bolton 1-not quite the result I've expected, but Bolton should be through
Zenit 2 Sevilla 1-HIT!finally I've an exact score for this UEFA Cup matchday.too bad though Sevilla came out badly crocked, maybe the snow made them slip up

The Royal League isn't in my agenda as yet,but here are the scores too...(expected predictions in brackets)

Midtjylland 4 Valerenga 0-(wanted to put Valerenga 2-1)I was lucky I didn't predict this score becuase I'd be way poorer if I chased the new Norwegian champions
Start 2 Hammarby 4-(draw 1-1)enthralling,only the newly minted runners up are quite awed
Lillestrom 0 Copenhagen 0-(draw 1-1)puts me to sleep
(2 weeks ago)Kalmar 1 Brondby 1-(1-1)i didn't notice that.not my fault
Aalborg 0 Djurgardens 3-(Djurgardens 2-1)whoo!
Lyn 1 Gothenburg 0-(IFK 1-0 or 1-1 draw)not quite the score one expects, because Gothenburg are somewhat stronger

Jose Luis Fabiano at 11/25/2005 02:48:00 PM

oh yeah here's the big time stuff now,but it doesn't seem to have as much kick as last week...

Arsenil-Blackburn-Blackburn 1-0 isn't too much to ask
Villa-Charlton-Charlton should be up and running again
Man City-Liverpool-Pool win streak continues
Sunderland-Birmingham-no hope for Sunderland
Wigan-Spurs-I might fancy a Wigan 1-0,but a draw seems better
Portsmouth-Chelsea-many are saying 3-0 to Chelsea, but i think the Pompeys will put up just enough a fight to go down 2-0

Everton-Newcastle-I'm afraid the toffees are meant to be chewed up
Fulham-Bolton-Bolton looks the better of the two.go for a 1-0
Boro-West Brom-Boro looks too strong.total goals 3 or 4
West Ham-Man U-Man U will muster just enough energy to eat the Hammers up

Sunderland-Liverpool-midweek game in hand but i think a prediction isn't quite necessary as Liverpool will find it easier

Le Mans-Auxerre-it's on within thwe next few hours or so,so I'd bet Auxerre to win 1-0

St Etienne-Bordeaux-2-1 to...Bordeaux
Sochaux-Rennes-1-1 or any draw.they seem evenly matched
Toulouse-Ajaccio-Toulouse should win this very once
Troyes-Metz-I doubt that Metz would continue winning, but I don't think Troyes can win this one.duh it's a score draw
Nice-Lyon-Lyon seems slightly too strong, but I think they will have to work hard for that odd goal
Lille-Nancy-Lille 2-1 or so

PSG-Lens-PSG looks so good,so 2-2 or 2-1
Nantes-Strasbourg-it's a different matter in the Ligue,so Nantes 2-1
Marseille-Monaco-face off.it'd end in a draw,though

Leverkusen-Hamburg-2-2 or Hamburg scramble for the late goal
Duisburg-Cologne-1-1
Schalke-Bremen-2-1
Wolfsburg-Bielefeld-1-0
Bayern-Mainz-the disparity between Bayern and the other teams are way too wide.read between the lines for details
Hanover-Kaiserslautern-1-1
Nuremburg-Dortmund-2-1 to Dortmund,or leave it to the LHZB tipsters

Hertha-Gladbach-1-0
Frankfurt-Stuttgart-2-0 to Stuttgart

Livorno-Chievo-flying donkeys gather steam
Milan-Lecce-just fleece the opponents.unfortunately though for all the Shevchenko groupies there won't be another 4 goal bonanza

Siena-Reggina-1-1
Parma-Udinese-Udinese 1-0
Messina-Inter-Inter win again, and don't even bother to consider Messina scoring
Ascoli-Palermo-2-0 to Palermo
Cagliari-Sampdoria-Samp 2-1
Empoli-Lazio-Lazio should look okay enough
Juventus-Treviso-people are thinking a 6-0 win.2-0 looks okay.it's a miracle if Treviso scores
Roma-Fiorentina-Toni scores again,Totti and Cassano adds to the count, and then Toni's special partner(s) shows up and guarantees at least a draw

Mallorca-Athletic-condemn the Basques to hell
Valencia-Celta-Valencia 2-1 or Celta 1-0.again see who's first to score

Getafe-Malaga-Getafe should be up and running again
Atletico-Espanyol-2-1 to Atletico
Osasuna-Alaves-too strong for Alaves to ahndle
Betis-Cadiz-Betis should get their act right this very last time
Zaragoza-Sevilla-1-1 or Sevilla 1-0,barring all the side effects of being frozen and then jetlagged, cold and other symptoms
Deportivo-Villareal-Depor 2-1 or Villareal 2-1.this time who scores last will win(duh...it means the winning goal lah)
Sociedad-Madrid-Luxemburgo is now on the brink of being sacked.getting a win in some dreaded basque territory is hard on paper but it's easier done than said.
Barcelona-Racing-3-0 and upwards

Jose Luis Fabiano at 11/25/2005 01:42:00 PM

big timers galore

Fenerfarce 0 Shevchenko 4-actually it should be Fenerbahce 0 Milan 4,but since it's a Shev 1 man show,it's logical enough to give such a scoreline
Schalke 3 PSV 0-at the same yime there's another one man show, only the person scored 3

Real Madrid 1 Lyon 1-the Madridistas seem to be very unlucky nowadays, and i think it's time for a fortune teller
Rosenborg 1 Olympiacos 1-it's counted as a good result for both teams since Olympiacos is terrible away

Liverpool 0 Betis 0-yawn?it doesn't matter anyway,cause you'll never walk alone
Anderlecht 0 Chelsea 2-to win you have to quickly pounce in the kill.hence chelsea could easily condemn the mauves to a straight 11th loss in the champs league

Porto 1 Rangers 1-had Rangers not scored, they would have regretted going the way of Celtic
Inter Milan 4 Artmedia 0-Adriano is back, and anyone foolhardy enough to try and stop him is gone case

Jose Luis Fabiano at 11/24/2005 12:53:00 PM

Wednesday, November 23, 2005

here's the champs league scores, and sometimes things follow a goofy pattern

Man U 0 Villareal 0
Lille 0 Benfica 0

sounds so amusing that everyone stands a chance of being eliminated, but Man U will suffer from the most loss of face if they ever did get out of the champs league(thrid included)

Bayern 4 Rapid Vienna 0-just blast the hell out of some weak opponent and don't care...then a big one comes out(not as big as Juve, though)

Juventus 1 Club Brugge 0-I rarely get exact hits in the Champs League, but count on them to give the stuff

Ajax 2 Sparta 1-game over for Griga as well

Thun 0 Arsenil 1-we salute our heroes even if they lose.but even if they win the nil gang merely wormed their way through.no cause for any celebration

Barcelona 3 Bremen 1-no etoo, but ronaldinho still have the goods

Panathinaikos 1 Udinese 2-comeback kings

Jose Luis Fabiano at 11/23/2005 01:04:00 PM

Monday, November 21, 2005

oh yeah I won't be here to update for this week, but it's gonna be action packed this week, but injury updates showed that Raul will be out until january,oh unlucky luxemburgo

Juventus-Club Brugge-dead meat for Brugge, but for the fact that it's a European fixture, their winning margin will be restricted to 1
Bayern-Rapid Vienna-Bayern should find this easier, particularly at home, but it's not so easy scoring 3 this time round

Thun-Arsenil-this is a massive risk,so it's 1-0 to Thun.hope nothing untoward happens
Ajax-Sparta-Ajax 2-0 at least.maximum goals 3

Barcelona-Bremen-it's a straight Barca win.just that the scorers will not be known until after the game
Panathinaikos-Udinese-Udinese might as well consider just a UEFA Cup slot if playing 2 big ones are concerned

Lille-Benfica-the Stade de France mentality again.1-0 again
Man U-Villareal-1-0 and I think Rooy will score

Schalke-PSV-since Schalke are so good at home,i think to risk a draw is not quite logical
Fenerfarce-Milan-Milan might want to win this one,and they can.if they can get out unscathed from hell

Rosenborg-Olympiacos-a rare win for Rosenborg to boot
Real Madrid-Lyon-for Lyon to visit at crisis time is no laughing matter.a draw would suffice, though

Liverpool-Betis-Liverpool runs all over Betis
Anderlecht-Chelsea-the unglam record of 11 straight losses still stands

Inter-Artmedia-the Slovaks aren't so good away, they usually play for draws.Inter would gladly snuff them out by 1-0 ,though
Porto-Rangers-Porto must win and will win this one

Loko Moscow-Brondby-2-1 at least(might even be a thrashing if the cold is so extreme)

Viking-Slavia-the Czechs got frozen out
Monaco-Hamburg-van der Vaart scores again, and it might even be a win.i'm banking on that

Espanyol-Palermo-Palermo win 2-1

Hertha Berlin-Lens-Lens 1-0 or draw
Halmstads-Sampdoria-Samp is too much for the Swedes, even if they risk getting frozen out of the slots as well

AZ-Boro-2-1 to...Boro(newspapers say),i think it's 2-1 to...AZ.see who wins
Dnipro-Litex Lovech-1-1 draw(this is a blind bet)

Tromso-Red Star Belgrade-Red Star should at least draw away
Roma-Strasbourg-Strasbourg seem unusually powerful in the UEFA cup,but i'm not risking an arm and a leg for a Roma loss

CSKA Moscow-Levski Sofia-CSKA should break their hoodoo by then, especially with Levski getting increasingly frozen during training
Marseille-Hereenveen-Marseille are so inconsistent,i might be tempted to put a draw.maybe yeah, can lor

PAOK-Stuttgart-Stuttgart escapes with a late goal
Shakhtar-Rapid Bucharest-I'm putting the miners to win

Vitoria Guimaraes-Bolton-Bolton will scrape through
Zenit-Sevilla-they might end up saying Betis is easier than these Russians.and they are correct,to a large extent(FYI,the weather in St Petersburg is -1 celsius for today. If water can freeze at around that temperature,Sevilla are more or less going down 2-1)

Jose Luis Fabiano at 11/21/2005 09:09:00 PM

I think I feel so goddamn groggy yesterday after watching Real-Barca...yawn whatever at least I managed to crawl out of the bed

Real Madrid 0 Barcelona 3-utterly humiliating performance by the galaticos,if Etoo and Ronaldinho didn't score they would have been branded king of flops.3 brilliant goals meant that Real are in some form of trouble again

Getafe 0 Osasuna 0-watching the tail end part means that it's a super sian diao fixture.but who cares because Osasuna are now sharing the top with Barca

Sevilla 1 Betis 0-Betis are in bigger trouble than expected

Lokomotiv Moscow 1 Spartak Moscow 1-i didn't get the correct scorer but it mattered little because the reds are now back in the big time

Charlton 1 Man U 3-it didn't seem that the Red Devils miss Keane, but that's just the start.when they play Arsenil again then it's time to evaluate the situation
Chelsea 3 Newcastle 0-anyone but man U can stop Chelsea, but no one can stop Crespo when he's in the mood.and of course Arsenil isn't the correct option to stop the Chelski Army
Liverpool 3 Portsmouth 0-back to the great Pool of olden times, not the Rafa Worrier type of old
Man C 0 Blackburn 0-finally here's a EPL match that ended goalless
Sunderland 1 Villa 3-a rare win predicted correctly for the Villains mean that the black cats confirm relegate one
West Brom 4 Everton 0-absolutely unbelievable
Spurs 1 West Ham 1-in such an evenly drawn match it's okay to draw
Boro 3 Fulham 2-what a spoof

(earlier this week)Ajaccio 0 Lens 0-negative tactics

Auxerre 3 Lille 2-fluffed that big time
Marseille 2 Nantes 1-what an exact hit(ya i'm a Ligue 1 specialist punter)
Monaco 1 St Etienne 0-what the...it's a double back to back hit
Strasbourg 0 Nice 0-yeah i think i juz doze off if i watched that live
Nancy 1 Le Mans 0-promoted sites look better in France than in other places, and how bad can they be is also shown here
Ajaccio 0 Sochaux 1-quite a bad miss
Lens 0 Metz 0-YAWN even louder, and get a painful bum watching a boring draw
Lyon 2 Troyes 1-Lyon scored the 2 goals
Rennes 4 Toulouse 1-think I'll stick to watching stade toulousain on star sports
Bordeaux 0 PSG 2-PSG back at their original best

Bielefeld 1 Bayern 2-hit the 2 goal part but not the unexpected 1 goal
Cologne 2 Schalke 2-absolutely fluffy and stupid
Gladbach 1 Leverkusen 1-hit man
Dortmund 2 Hertha Berlin 0-Dortmund is back again
Kaiserslautern 1 Nuremburg 3-the home team are in serious trouble,so much even the chairman and coach walked out on them at the same time
Mainz 2 Frankfurt 2-a draw is quite ok for 2 average sides
Bremen 6 Wolfsburg 1-i didn't expect the 4-1 second half
Hamburg 2 Duisburg 0-still going strong and ooh it's a hit
Stuttgart 2 Hanover 2-not quite expected

Udinese 1 Messina 0-super clean job
Roma 1 Juventus 4-no stopping Jtus
Chievo 1 Ascoli 1-another typical Italian draw
Fiorentina 3 Milan 1-Toni socres yet again,and it's 2 now.what about his 'sparring partner'?it's the dane again
Sampdoria 2 Lazio 0-the only hit was in 1x2
Treviso 2 Palermo 2-now Palermo would be regretting why they didn't win this easy meat
Lecce 3 Siena 0-quite unexpected
Livorno 2 Empoli 0-again,it's so funny, when i want them to win they draw, but when i want them to draw they win
Reggina 3 Cagliari 1-same old funny event
Inter 2 Parma 0-finally Inter wins

Villareal 0 Zaragoza 0-another zzzzzzz
Espanyol 2 Mallorca 0-quite expected
Athletic 0 Alaves 2-It's game over for Athletic
Malaga 3 Sociedad 1-spoofer
Cadiz 0 Valencia 1-hit the win at last
Catla 2 Atletico 1-I think I didn't hit this one
Racing 0 Deportivo 3-back to their great days again

Aberdeen 1 Hearts 1-that's what you get if you know what happened yesterday and still didn't do what's necessary

Jose Luis Fabiano at 11/21/2005 10:32:00 AM

whew..here's a night cap

Celtic 3 Rangers 0-the Gers are in an unpredecented crisis this time round.wheeeeee I love the Bhoys!just rub it in and we don't give a shite about these useless fools who worship the jack and play jackass football

Wigan 2 Arsenil 3-hit my d**k instead of the ball and the lottery this time round.whatever the case discount the latics at your own grave risk.and i've a prophecy that arsenil can only get a UEFA cup slot and even emirates will complain more than the glazers or abramovich

Jose Luis Fabiano at 11/19/2005 11:00:00 PM

37 minutes has elapsed and here's the score for the afternoon game playing now on ESPN

Wigan 1 Arsenil 2-this doesn't sound as catastrophic as it seems, though it is uncharacteristic of the Latics to concede one early, and that's clearly a risk given a team like the Nil Gang, unless of course they fluff all their goal chances

by then at Glasgow time 1230h(2030 by the way and still shopping) the Celtic-Rangers super Old Firm has kicked off and here's the lineups according to the celticfc.net site

Celtic(4-4-2)

Boruc;Telfer,Balde,McManus,M.Camara;Nakamura,S.Petrov,N.Lennon,McGeady;Maloney,Hartson
(Subs:Marshall;Virgo,Lawson,Varga,Wallace,Agathe,A.Thompson)

Rangers

Waterreus;Hutton,M.Andrews,Kyrgiakos,Murray;Ricksen,Hemdani,B.Ferguson,Namouchi;Prso,Jeffers
(Subs:Klos;A.Rae,Lovenkrands,Pierre-Fanfan,Burke,McCormack,Thompson)

from rangers.co.uk,half time score:John Hartson scored in the 11th min to make it 1-0.second half starting in a moment's time.catch you later and we'll see if those so called fenian b******s will show that they play better ball!

p.s:i hope cho chang isn't a rangers fan.celtic rox

as George Best ends up in the intensive ward, here's the no 1 news all Man U fans through out the world won't want to hear at all :'(

from manutd.com

Manchester United have reached an agreement with Roy Keane which allows him to leave the Club with immediate effect.

The agreement enables Keane to sign a long-term deal with another club and secure his playing career beyond what would have been the end of his contract at United in the summer.
The Club has offered Roy a testimonial in recognition of his 12½ years at Old Trafford and thanks Roy for his major contribution to the Club during his years of service.

"It has been a great honour and privilege for me to play for Manchester United for over 12 years," said Keane in a statement."During my time at the Club I have been fortunate to play alongside some of the best players in the game and in front of the best supporters in the world. At all times I have endeavoured to do my best for the management and the team."Whilst it is a sad day for me to leave such a great Club and Manager I believe that the time has now come for me to move on. "After so many years, I will miss everyone at the Club. I send my best wishes for the future to the management, players, staff and supporters of the Club,” he added.United boss Sir Alex Ferguson described Keane as the best midfielder of his generation.

Roy has been a fantastic servant for Manchester United," said Sir Alex. "The best midfield player in the world of his generation, he is already one of the great figures in our Club’s illustrious history. "Roy has been central to the success of the Club in the last 12 ½ years and everyone at Old Trafford wishes him well in the rest of his career and beyond.”
Chief Executive David Gill added: "Roy has been a towering figure at the Club for over a decade. His dedication, talent and leadership have been qualities that have marked him out as one of the true greats. "On behalf of everyone at the Club, we wish him every success in his future career."

the Glazer buy out is bad enough, but this is worthy of a funeral.having to learn to play without him is bad enough, what about those youngsters?maybe he shouldn't whack them like no one's business,or maybe he sacrificed himself one last time to knock the youngsters back to their senses.we'd remember black friday 18/11/05

This is a bumper issue this week because of 3 mad head to heads happening within the space of 24h...here's introducing to you the star attractions for this week

Celtic Park,Glasgow and Pittodrie,Aberdeen

(Celtic vs Rangers) vs (Aberdeen vs Hearts)

It's time for the old firm rumble AGAIN(considering they had the misfortune to go head to head last week).whatever the case both teams need to get their act right before Hearts continue to an 'unassailable' lead.the Jambos meanwhile have their own problems to solve, having to go to Aberdeen 1 day later and mindful that the Dons would gift their lead to Celtic in event of anything other than a win,and city rivals Hibs may be looking over their heads

Unfortunately though, the Gers and the Dons are also in desperate situations of their own.4th and 7th respectively, both have been unimpressive.particularly by rangers' high quality service, and it doesn't look any better for the Gers having French defenders Oliver Bernard and Julien Rodriguez out(latest news) and bogged down by champs league(drawing against Artmedia twice is a very bad move, and they have only a win against Porto to account for).Adding to the injury list are Buffel,Novo and Nieto, though Gavin Rae and Hemdani is available after a long time out

Celtic though are hitting a good patch of form, and fans didn't even need to mind going out against Artmedia that 27/07 night because Rangers are more important.in fact there aren't any major injury concerns,

Prediction:1-0 to Celtic,or 2-1 if Rangers score.I don't think the draw probability is high, but if I have to put any draw results,1-1 or 2-2.it's one hell of a powder keg.Hearts might as well deal with Aberdeen (and Celtic should they draw) once and for all so I'm putting 2-1 to Hearts

Madrid(1am singapore time)

(Real Madrid vs Barcelona) vs (Getafe vs Osasuna) vs (Sevilla vs Betis)

It's time to rumble again.of course the WC playoffs might have taken a toll on the Spanairds such as Raul and Puyol, but theoretically Barcelona has the upper hand.having Etoo,Ronaldino and co to whack Getafe 2 weeks back means that trouble is really brewing in Madrid, and the Uruguayans in Madrid(Barca counting their lucky stars now) having jet lag to worry too(so Luxemburgo would most likely stick with Robinho)

What about Getafe?they are also a bunch of off form desperadoes.now they have to look for a win to make sure they don't get humiliated.unfortunately though Osasuna might make it 4 in a row, discounting their not so impressive away form.down in the rainy south, there's the Sevillan storm to complement el Clasico. With Betis grossly off form at the moment and missing everyone but Joaquin, and their city rivals bobbing up and down, everyone's desperate for a win to go to Europe(at least for Sevilla)

Prediction:many pundits would put a Barcelona win.if i'm swayed(I'm a Madridista) I'd go for a 2-1 Barca with a 1-1 draw at half time.given that illegal Asian bookies would put flat ball(while SPools would grudgingly give Madrid a 1.5goal headstart),Madrid should lose by 1 goal(that still means winning on 1/2 goal tix and maybe total goals). If not 1-1 or maybe Madrid 1-0(ht 0-0)will do.the most important thing is to get the upper hand fast.As for Osasuna, they will be sitting comfortably at the top for a few more weeks,so a result doesn't quite matter.that doesn't mean there's no predictions, but rather a 1-1 draw will do.Sevilla might as well win 2-1 or don't even draw at all

Lokomotiv Moscow vs Spartak Moscow

while CSKA are opening the champagne and Dinamo are launching another inquest, the other 2 Moscovites are now in a tussle over that Champs League slot that will see them join CSKA.Spartak has an easier mission since drawing will do just fine.Loko will have to win,to salvage a season that looked rosy until they started cocking out against rapid Vienna during August.a look at the injury list will show to an extent why Spartak looks even better

(Sychev(knee)+Francisco Lima(on leave)+Loskov(LTE)) vs (Pavlyuchenko)

Prediction:I'll check the Spartak site on Sunday and hope that Spartak win 2-1 or 1-0.that Cavenaghi guy will get one of the goals.whoo!

oh ya here's the bread and butter stuff

Arsenil-Wigan-Wigan 1-0 and it's so likely
Charlton-Man U-Keane-Less Man U wins 2-1
Chelsea-Newcastle-another rampage at 2-0(actually that's not a thrashing) or 3-1
Liverpool-Portsmouth-2-1 or 1-0
Man C-Blackburn-1-1
Sunderland-Villa-Villa chalks up a rare win
WBA-Everton-Everton win 1-0

Spurs-West Ham-Spurs will come out as the better of the two
Boro-Fulham-Boro draw

Birmingham-Bolton-Bolton 1-0

Marseille-Nantes-we might be tempted to put Nantes 1-0,but better stick with 2-1
Monaco-St Etienne-1-0
Strasbourg-Nice-a win is Nice-ly put there
Nancy-Le Mans-1-1
Ajaccio-Sochaux-2-1 to Ajaccio
Auxerre-Lille-1-1 again or 1-0 to Lille
Lens-Metz-2 goals at least
Lyon-Troyes-2-0 is the most likely score

Rennes-Toulouse-I miss Stade Toulousain again.maybe not,though,because here's a draw
Bordeaux-PSG-2-1 to PSG or 1-1 at most

Cologne-Schalke-Schalke should win comfortably by 1 goal, but 2 goals is not so likely
Gladbach-Leverkusen-1-1
Kaiserslautern-Nuremburg-1-1
Dortmund-Hertha-2-1 or 2-2
Mainz-Frankfurt-0-0?erm no.3-1
Arminia-Bayern-still rolling.2 now
Bremen-Wolfsburg-1-1 or Bremen 2-1

Hamburg-Duisburg-2-1 or 2-0
Stuttgart-Hanover-1-0

Roma-Juventus-2-1 to Juve or maybe for the ABJs 1-1
Udinese-Messina-1-0

Chievo-Ascoli-Chievo back in their good old days.2-1
Fiorentina-Milan-Toni will still score, but unlike the last few matches, the Viola will lose provided Shevchenko plays and scores one
Sampdoria-Lazio-2-1 to Samp
Treviso-Palermo-Palermo finds this easy meat
Lecce-Siena-1-1 or 0-0
Livorno-Empoli-0-0 or 2-2
Reggina-Cagliari-2-1 or 1-1
Inter-Parma-1-0

Villareal-Zaragoza-2-1

Espanyol-Mallorca-Espanyol should be safe after this, for now
Athletic-Alaves-after the battle of the desperadoes,i don't think any of them will climb out the relegation zone
Malaga-Sociedad-1-0
Cadiz-Valencia-Valencia win again
Celta-Atletico-1-1 or Atletico 2-1 or Celta 1-0.see who scores first
Racing-Deportivo-Depor 1-0

things on the agenda today, before the big match

1)It's game over for Hoyzer the match fixing ref and his cronies, though not quite the ending expected.in the end the courts decided to sentence him to 2 years and 5 months while they added 6 more for the alleged ringleader.not so bad considering that the croat ringleader earnt 1.6M euros from 2 matches and 103K euros went to reward the guilty 2

2)Cicinho joins Madrid after the transfer window opens on a 5 year deal.just to rest in peace the Madridistas still have a non-EU slot free because the Sao Paulo winger has dual Italian-Brazilian citizenship.

3)Sparta is is deep trouble whatever the coach.blame it on the defence or the lack of Poborsky.whatever the case it looks like a classic Rosenborg case

4)last 5 people on board:Czech Rep,Spain,Switzerland,Trindad,Australia,a tunnel bustup fot the Swiss and 4 reds for the russians(rest assured it's U21 stuff.just for the fun)

LATEST NEWS

AUSTRALIA 1(Bresciano(Parma)) URUGUAY 0
(1-1 aggregate.AET:1-1.Australia win 4-2 on penalties)

Finally the Socceroos have something to show their rugby friends.in fact they have to work very hard for the win, boro keeper schawarzer keeping out zalayeta's(juventus) and dario rodriguez(goalscorer in the 1st leg from schalke 04) penalties before Aloisi(alaves) fired in the final kick.ooh it doesn't matter though because it's so sweet

football is now getting out of fashion for just this week.rugby is,and ironically rugby internationals are more popular than those so called Premiership and European cup stuff, though scores can be lopsided sometimes.

unfortunately though, rugby internationals are poorly structured, such that there is England vs Australia on the same day as Premiership matches.football doesn't and that's what I like about league football because the ball standard is way better than highly unpredictable internationals or very predictable internationals

grrr go off guys

Wales-Fiji-maxi power

France-Canada-no merci
Ireland-NZ-Blackout in Dublin
Scotland-Argentina-not a predictable encounter as thought last time.Scots to narrowly get away,or even an Argentine win
Italy-Tonga-the rare few games the Azzurri can win

England-Australia-England to win by a photo finish

Falcons-London Irish-London Irish can spring a surprise if the Falcons are really depleted
Sale-Worcester-no Hodgson still can talk.but can only mumble

Northampton-Wasps-wasp sting or draw
Leicester-Gloucester-Gloucester can spring a surprise too

Bath-Saracens-Saracen win
Bristol-Leeds-Leeds to be the better of the two

No soccer news...erm not quite actually

Costa Rica 2 France 3-the benefit match for the Martinique dead in the plane crash last few months ago looked unscripted until the later stages...where the French have to storm back from a 2-0 deficit

Celtic 2 Rangers 0-Earlier on it looked as if the Hoops are off to a woeful season.not that it mattered now,but this time it looked as if the Rangers season is a complete writeoff after the Scottish League Cup quarter finals

exclusive from Kiev...and what is showing is bound to be a shocker

Shakhtar 0 Dinamo 1-this is the Russian/Ukrainian answer to Chelsea vs Man U,except that we all went seriously bust on this one,and everything seemed inaccurate here, the Brazilians didn't even score to cap it off

Bolton 1 Spurs 0-Nolan is the man who exposed Spurs' on-and-off form.not quite a sweaty affair after all

yeah it's goddamn awful,so the Dugout Times have another match to cover in the Ligue...this time live and exclusive again

Ajaccio-Lens-going through a bald patch at the moment,so it's better to put Lens 2-1

Finally there is someone who can rise up to the challenge of Chelsea, and duh who else?

Man U 1 Chelsea 0-Keane can say that Fletcher is the surprise hero after they resisted everything Chelsea threw at the Red Devils. If Fergie can be saved,Arsenil Wenger should consider dropping his accusations because even if he won,Chelsea will thrash Arsenil 5-0 next time they see them

Everton 1 Boro 0-by the way,it's now sunderland who's in the biggest trouble, not helped by the toffees who won.

Lille 2 Strasbourg 0-whatever the case it's Lyon who are now watching Lille very closely to ensure there isn't any Lille sudden surge.now it's strasbourg with the unglam record of no wins
Sochaux 1 Lens 1-not quite an expected score
Troyes 2 Rennes 1-off track
PSG 0 Monaco 0-this seems quite accurate

Gladbach 0 Hamburg 0-what a bore
Nuremburg 0 Stuttgart 1-they got what they needed

Milan 5 Udinese 1-this is how you blast opponents.terbaboom!
Juventus 3 Livorno 0-blanko triple a hit with all our punters
Ascoli 0 Fiorentina 2-Toni now accounts for...1 goal again.we're so efficient.this time Ujfalusi complements the show.Bojinov next?or anyone else
Cagliari 0 Treviso 0-gimme a big YAWN
Messina o Roma 2-double the goals, double the fun
Parma 2 Lecce 0-hot and cold is better than being very cold
Siena 0 Chievo 1-if a donkey whizzes past the mighty inter vikings, this is it
Palermo 0 Sampdoria 2-not quite a draw, with Samp having the edge

Malaga 1 Deportivo 1-the story starts like this...when I wanted a win they drew
Sevilla 0 Atletico 0-and then the storyline become sian diao and then before I went zzz...
Cadiz 1 Mallorca 2-when I wanted a draw they gave a win.how inaccurate
Celta 2 Alaves 1-Celta looks better than Getafe nowadays, and they can consider leapfrogging over Madrid if lucky
Racing 1 Betis 1-whatever the case they weren't quite cut out to juggle Europe and Liga.Athletic and Espanyol have it worse
Real Madrid 1 Zaragoza 0-no mean feat considering the long injury list.Getafe comes next (after 2 weeks) so they better start hoping for divine intervention if they don't want to revert back to form
Getafe 1 Barcelona 3-this is really the end of the road for Getafe.but the saying of 'there's light at the end of the tunnel' still exists.check out their only goal which have Pernia whack a incoming ball into the net right after his leg touch the ball.man that's so cool!!Motta and Ronaldinho's free kick teaser is quite zai too...brings back memories of Juninho

Dinamo Moscow 1 CSKA Moscow 2-the Army Boys lifts the title yet again, complete with champagne and champs league.it isn't so bad for Spartak and Loko after all because they will also be playing in the Champs League next season,if they are lucky.Dinamo though is in massive trouble after only gaining a mid table finish even when they transplanted the whole of Porto's winning quartet into their team(and complete with ex-Superliga players)

Olympiacos 2 Xanthi 0-the win puts them back on the top that they are so used to.now Panathinaikos have the unenviable position of being in 4th and no prizes for guessing who's in the top 3

Sunday, November 06, 2005

Lianhe Zaobao's speciality is the German Bundesliga...and our favourite fixtures are the French ones

Bayern 3 Bremen 1-they were Klose to losing their first game at the Allianz before they fought back, all compressed into 45 mins.Lianhe Zaobao hit the exact score

Portsmouth 0 Wigan 2-Wigan means business, and they need to do so esp when they have 5 big matches within 3 weeks
Villa 0 Liverpool 2-they left it late, which is still worrying but not so much a problem
Arsenil 3 Sunderland 1-better off dead
Bl;ackburn 4 Charlton 1-super inaccurate
Fulham 2 Man C 1-with Wright-Philips they look so ordinary, without him, they can go out of business
Newcastle 1 Birmingham 0-Souness has only one clever move so far.that is to buy owen.but it worked so far
West Ham 1 West Brom 0-that was the only exact hit for the premiership fixtures

Toulouse 0 Lyon 1-not the thrashing I've expected, and to rub it in,neither Carew now Juninho scored early enough
Le Mans 3 Marseille 0-?(i.e:inexplicable)
Metz 2 Ajaccio 0-the Alsatian mockery seems to be over with Metz getting their first win
Nice 0 Bordeaux 1-exact hit
St Etienne 1 Auxerre 1-2 in a row
Nantes 3 Nancy 0-hat trick thwarted

Hertha 3 Kaiserslautern 0-overshot score is not entirely bad.in fact it's good for the teams in question
Leverkusen 2 Dortmund 1-didn't quite get the mirror image, but at least Leverkusen needs something decent...and you definitely get what you wished
Schalke 3 Duisburg 0-whipping time
Wolfsburg 1 Cologne 1-didn't quite expect the visiotrs to score
Frankfurt 3 Bielefeld 0-they looked like relegation candidates until they thrashed Schalke.now they seem to fly high...and low...to complete a hat-tick of 3-0s
Hanover 2 Mainz 2-my Germanic predictions gone entirely haywire

Empoli 3 Reggina 0-the oddity of the Italian league is that you get wins when least expected and bore draws when most expected.they gave me the former now...
Lazio 0 Inter 0-but then this time it's the latter as they bored everyone to death

Sociedad 1 Osasuna 2-okok,their away ability looks suspect but somehow pulling a win out of the bag meant that barca has more work to do
Espanyol 1 Athletic 1-Javier Clemente's return gave me this power hit
Villareal 1 Valencia 0-agreed,Villareal are the lucky team.and then Mr Flores need to do something about winning when least expected(Madrid) and losing when most expected(Getafe)

Wales 3 New Zealand 41
France 26 Australia 16
Argentina 23 South Africa 34

Gloucester 27 Newcastle 20
Leeds Tykes 11 Sale Sharks 17
London Irish 36 Bath 13
Saracens 28 Northampton 22

Rangers 0 Aberdeen 0-I was super absent minded when I forgot this rumble fixture, but it seemed justified now that they drew yet again, and a very boring one at that.Hearts though whacked Dundee Utd to go 3 points on top

now that the Bayern-Bremen faceoff and all those Bundesliga are but a few minutes away,I decide to give you some Guinness Premiership and Celtic League scores, just to add to the rugby flavour.all the best shows haven't started yet, except for the odd early bird English fixture and the regular Bundesliga stuff that starts precisely at 10.30 and ends at 12.30...there's none for now so let's crap

London Wasps 21 Bristol 16-as expected
Worcester 15 Leicester Tigers 11-shock loss for the Tigers

Cardiff 16 Munster 18
Glasgow 30 Connacht 15
Ulster 12 Neat Swansea Ospreys 20

whatever the case here's more jokes on Euro soccer, courtesy of uefa.com...

hot off the press yesterday...

fan extreme 1:if an ex player throws away extra clothing with the team's label on it...he is accused of being Judas, even if he didn't throw away his first team kit.the unfortunate player in question is Jason Culina from PSV,and Twente fans obviously were fuming

fan extreme 2:how can Start and Man U be linked?by this mad fan in Norway of course.setting fire to the wooden shack called the police station means that he's in hot soup

player extremes:our dear old Bayern.training at 0330 in the morning after the DFB Pokal win 1)is a sure fire way of getting complained by residents(enough for police to show up and end the party) and 2)would cause fatigue(that might be a link to the loss against Juventus)

stale bread

Happy Meal:to cheer Woodgate up after he overcame 18 months worth of injury,Real lied to him about having a scan on his leg, when in fact the medics and Becks were inside.the end needs no mention

Baby ball:since Totti's wife is getting pregnant, the ball secreted when he celebrated against Lazio provides fun for the Giallorossi.it's more tasteful than naming the kid 'Tottinho'

Souped up:fans of Strasbourg get a treat of split peas soup from the chairman before the game against St Etienne.unfortunately the players might have been satiated because of the soup or maybe they didn't have any soup as they lost again in the Ligue last week

Money-back guarantee:this is what Elfsborg did after their 8-1 loss against new Allsvenskan champions Djurgardens.Nottingham Forest had it worse after supporters went into the dugout to complain...all within a peaceful atmosphere

The Dynasty:unfortunately though Maldini III's daddy(Maldini II) won't be happy about his son being potentially over-hyped after joining the Milan Kids team.not that it mattered, but footy is still a game after all

before we go crazy about the clash of all clashes, here's something to fill the readers of this crappy webzine up.this includes all the Investec internationals and all the faces off from Manchester to Kiev

Man U-Chelsea-Chelsea should win 1-0,if not draw.Man U win then it will be a big shocker to go with Betis win

Villa-Liverpool-Villa 1-1 or Pool 1-0.Baros won't score if Villa scores
Arsenil-Sunderland-wished Sunderland were stronger enough but that won't be likely
Blackburn-Charlton-Charlton 2-1
Fulham-Man C-1-1
Newcastle-Birmingham-Magpie resurgency at it's best at 3-1
West Ham-West Brom-1-0 or something
Portsmouth-Wigan-Wigan bubble will burst now.if not a 1-0 for Wigan seems extremely reckless

Everton-Boro-Boro has enough bite to deal with the toffees

Bolton-Spurs-a closely fought draw or a Bolton 2-1

Toulouse-Lyon-juggernaut still in motion.Carew should easily account for 1 of the goals, and Juninho too
Le Mans-Marseille-Marseille 1-0
Metz-Ajaccio-1-1 or any thinkable draw
Nice-Bordeaux-1-0 to Bordeaux
St Etienne-Auxerre-1-1 or Auxerre 1-0
Nantes-Nancy-2-1

Lille-Strasbourg-should there be no glitches it would be a Lille 1-0
Sochaux-Lens-Lens' away ability looks suspect, but I think they should get away with a 1-0
Troyes-Rennes-1-0 to Rennes
PSG-Monaco-what a whammy.PSG to stop the Principality guys if not keep them in a stalemate

Bayern-Bremen-face-off will result in a Bayern late win

Wolfsburg-Cologne-1-0

Nuremburg-Stuttgart-Stuttgart to look for somewhere to ransack

Empoli-Reggina-1-1 or 0-0

Milan-Udinese-closely fought match that will result in a Milan win
Parma-Lecce-1-0 or 1-1
Siena-Chievo-1-1
Palermo-Sampdoria-another draw

Sociedad-Osasuna-we don't know what is Osasuna's ability away from El Sadar, but it would be a win anyhow

Villareal-Valencia-1-1 or 2-1 to the lucky team

Malaga-Deportivo-Depor 1-0
Sevilla-Atletico-1-0 or 2-0
Cadiz-Mallorca-1-1 or 0-0
Celta-Alaves-1-0
Racing-Betis-this does cut it.2-1 to Betis
Real Madrid-Zaragoza-3-1 or something
Getafe-Barcelona-end of the road for the early front runners

Shakhtar Donetsk-Dynamo Kiev-exclusive Ukraininan fixture. If it doesn't kick,it isn't worthy on the Dugout Times.of course let's shoot so I think Shakhtar will extend their lead at the Ukrainian league to 5 points, and unsurprisingly the goalscorer(s) would be Brazilian
Olympiacos-Xanthi-this isn't intended on the original roster, but seeing the Big 3 of Athens panting to chase the team Boro met en route to UEFA Group stages means that the Legends have a chance to redeem themselves from that humiliating Lyon defeat.they should comfortably win 1-0

Wales-New Zealand-Black Sunday for the Welsh
France-Australia-Australia to scrape a messy win
Argentina-South Africa-not quite a walkover with/without the Argentines,but still a win anyhow

Jose Luis Fabiano at 11/04/2005 04:26:00 PM

too bad for Tigana, and we know all the Englishmen rocks

Hamburg 2 Viking 0-Rafael van der Vaart scored again,as I've predicted correctly.not the next goal though
Slavia 4 CSKA Sofia 2-whatever the case they look good to go next round.Sparta unfortunately would not have such a luxury, one of the rare luxuries they enjoy this time

Brondby 2 Maccabi Petah Tikva 0-wipeout in the snow
Palermo 0 Loko Moscow 0-Italian blank part 1.o-o-ps is the only thing thinkable right now

Lens 5 Halmstads 0-how to bounce back from the defeat at Bucharest in style?just score more and ensure there's enough gold to survive before the next round of Ligue fixtures and something to look like a bloodbath
Sampdoria 0 Steaua 0-Italian blank part 2.actually though Steaua were ramming their heads on a blank wall, which hit one of my guesses

Litex Lovech 2 Grasshoppers 1-shut up when in Sofia.that's the best thing do-able.but not when you hit the exact prediction, which is what I exactly did
Boro 3 Dnipro 0-Viduka runs all over the Ukrainians

Red Star Belgrade 1 Basel 2-degeneration X delije
Strasbourg 2 Tromso 0-the cup team vs a bunch of arctic warriors.no wonder they melted

Levski Sofia 1 Dinamo Bucharest 0-ok lor my work rate is quite good when it comes to UEFA Cup.another hit
Hereenveen 0 CSKA Moscow 0-Hereenveen has a bad habit of playing timid for 0-0 draws.not that it mattered, but there's at least some payout since I was partially correct

Rapid Bucharest 2 Rennes 0-If Feyenoord's fate has anything to do with this,an advice is,play safe for a home win in Bucharest
Stuttgart 0 Shakhtar 2-Brazilians are used to great effect in demolishing opponents, and that's not all.I couldn't be bothered to put anymore Shakhtar draws ever again

Bolton 1 Zenit St Petersburg 0-it's 2 out of 2 for the trotters
Sevilla 3 Besiktas 0-poor Tigana and his French crew were wondering what the heck happened in this class Spanish show

Jose Luis Fabiano at 11/04/2005 12:34:00 PM

Thursday, November 03, 2005

Fergie's problems just got more serious,if the next few scores shown are any indication of this freak show going on

Club Brugge 3 Rapid 2-to come back from a first minute goal is no mean feat
Juventus 2 Bayern 1-classic revenge match of the titans, the only difference was that they were so close they had to be separated by a late goal

Arsenil 3 Sparta 0-no hopers
Thun 2 Ajax 4-three extra minutes was all it took to break down the Swiss Gladiators

Bremen 4 Udinese 3-what a thriller,6 minutes surge(an unlucky own goal thrown in) and then another goal...what a match
Barcelona 5 Panathinaikos 0-If Eto'o scores 3,he seems to do a less messi-er job than Ronaldinho.it doesn't matter to the Greeks,though

Benfica 0 Villareal 1-so close, they ended up throwing the group very wide open
Lille 1 Man U 0-we have no idea what's going on in Man U nowadays.even Keane's disciplinary pep talks fails to have any effect, esp when they burned the tape, and Lille's first goal of the season puts them in far greater trouble than imagined

Jose Luis Fabiano at 11/03/2005 08:24:00 PM

Wednesday, November 02, 2005

We don't profess to be sniper marksmen for the UEFA Cup,so whatever we just yoddle with it and go on giving you all the fixtures

Hamburg-Viking-1-0,and I bet van der Vaart will score in Europe again
Slavia Prague-CSKA Sofia-1-1 at most

Brondby-Maccabi Petah Tikva-I can only dive in the dark end,so I think Brondby should use the sub zero temperatures to their advantage
Palermo-Loko Moscow-1-0,2-1 or 3-2

Lens-Halmstads-Lens are almost invincible at home,a 2-0 will do
Sampdoria-Steaua-it looks as if it is evenly split among 3 lines.Samp 2-1,0-0 draw and Steaua 1-0.I think it's Samp 1-0

Litex Lovech-Grasshoppers-2-1 to the home side, that's a blind gamble actually
Boro-Dnipro-not 4-1 as they dealt Man U with,but 2-0 or 1-0

Red Star Belgrade-Basel-1-0 or 1-1
Strasbourg-Tromso-2-1 should look pretty ok

Levski Sofia-Dinamo Bucharest-1-1 or 1-0
Hereenveen-CSKA Moscow-CSKA should look ok this once at 1-0,if not at least we can fall back on 1-1 or 0-0

Rapid Bucharest-Rennes-Rennes 1-0 or Rapid 2-1
Stuttgart-Shakhtar-Shakhtar 1-0,Stuttgart 2-1 or no draw

Bolton-Zenit-having been spared a trip to Russia,a win looks likely.I'll go for a draw,though
Sevilla-Besiktas-1-1 at least

Jose Luis Fabiano at 11/02/2005 10:08:00 PM

nothing pleases all the anything but chelseas more than what is going to show up next

Liverpool 3 Anderlecht 0-if anyone says Morientes is impotent in goal, this time they flogged the Belgians, and he scored one of them
Betis 1 Chelsea 0-Dani will be the no 1 most infamous name circulating around Stamford Bridge from now on

Rosenborg 0 Real Madrid 2-Robinho is impressive and so the Norwegians are more or less content with the UEFA Cup,if everything stays the same
Olympiacos 1 Lyon 4-what can I say about the Legends?Legendary Impotent in Europe

PSV 1 Milan 0-Farfan turns 10 Man Milan into a side which didn't even looked as if they were powerful enough to beat Juventus
Schalke 2 Fenerfarce 0-send those Istanbul Idiots to hell

Inter Milan 2 Porto 1-Everybody marks Adriano at the expense of Julio Cruz and the rest.Porto bears the full brunt of this mistake by conceding 2 in the last 15 mins.by then you would have inferred who scored both goals
Artmedia 2 Rangers 2-not quite the best of matches, but at least they can imagine a second round slot waiting for them

Jose Luis Fabiano at 11/02/2005 12:22:00 PM

this weekdays champs league promises to be exciting...I tell you...

Liverpool-Anderlecht-they look miserable in the Premiership, but trust them to get the goal that will prolong Anderlecht's misery in Europe
Betis-Chelsea-no more thrashings.1-0 at least
Artmedia-Rangers-medium risk fixture at Artmedia 0-0 or 1-0
Inter-Porto-Porto are in for Adriano's power
Olympiacos-Lyon-I'm feeling so lucky...I'm betting the Greeks to win 1-0
Rosenborg-Madrid-Oslo isn't freezing yet,but I think Real will play as if they had worn winter wear to keep warm.3 choices.1)Real Madrid 1-0(ok,traditionalist view),2)1-1 draw(ok,a compromise) or 3)Rosenborg 2-1(not recommended to try this)
PSV-Milan-If Milan can rampage over the Bianconeri,PSV are more or less dead meat
Schalke 04-Fenerfarce-1-1,1-0 or 2-1

Juventus-Bayern-1-0,1-1,0-1.this is NOT a mirror image
Club Brugge-Rapid Vienna-1-0 again
Arsenil-Sparta-I wish Sparta can win this once at 1-0
Thun-Ajax-1-0 still.and a late goal could be confirmed
Barcelona-Panathinaikos-we don't thrash Greeks,even if they are weak away.rather we'd play for 2-0 or 2-1
Bremen-Udinese-2-2
Lille-Man U-Man U looks so cock we could be tempted to put a Lille 1-0.maybe not, because it will be another draw
Benfica-Villareal-a draw looks likely, but we'd rather have Benfica score another late goal to make it 1-0.had that been a carbon copy of Benfica-Lille(matchday 1) we would not be surprised
