PSV:Simons crosses the border from Brugge
Atletico Madrid:Kezman,then Maxi
Marseille:no Kezman,don't fret.we prefer Strasbourg.wait West Ham too has a liking
Nice:Lens lost one from buying alot
Panathinaikos:turning into another United Nations of football.we got a German,a few scandinavians, some africans, romanians, south americans, and now Aloisi is set to join them from Osasuna
Bolton:Big Sam hopes Stelios will sign another contract.i think that's likely

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/30/2005 09:42:00 PM

the party continues for Collina.but just before the World Cup.

Dnipro:Shakhtar and Dynamo may still fight each other for the title.but there's a place this term where they have a common goal.internationals have been spirited out of Dnipro partly to strengthen their squad for the Super Cup and partly to add to their local players in case UEFA comes knocking, bearing in mind Dynamo has everyone from any corner of earth and Shakhtar has 6 brazillians
Werder Bremen:Southampton has loaned one man short for their promotional campaign.as for the disgraced saints they also lost kevin phillips to southampton.if the rumour that everywhere philips go the team gets relegated is real, let's hope it isn't there for Villa.Bremen have released Lisztes for free,so they need someone to boost Schaaf's defence before they fall to another 7-2
Betis:bye Prats.he's going back to the Islands
Nuremburg:more of Mintal.a UEFA cup slot seems likely
Cagliari:Zola retires.let's hope they don't go back to old losing ways once he leaves

and sure you wouldn't believe what happens at the Confed Cup

Germany 4 Mexico 3-they claim third place in a very tense way
Brazil 4 Argentina 1-Robinho double,Ronaldinho and Kaka dribbles balls around a helpless Argentine defense who seemed to have froze their brains in some lab in Bayer AG

Juventus:fiorentina trio returns back home after jtus decided on a new deal.they may need to sell trezeguet in order to give them salary.with the chelski army knocking on their door it isn't really possible to keep trezeguet though they have better luck with del piero and ibrahimovic
Everton:Kilbane agrees to one more improved contract for 3 years
Porto:a hat trick of buys this week.2 goalies and a midfielder
F*n*r*****:another goalie again.screw the goalie
Boro:signed an Austrian from on loan Grazer via Leverkusen
Espanyol:kopes someone from relegated Levante
Atletico Madrid:Kezman goes there for a good sum
Dinamo Moscow:still taking a break from buying portuguese.they got a nigerian this time

oh fuckers that glazer has taken full control of man u.RIP.now we shall see what happens to FC United

at italy, genoa are now posing the authorities some problems on whether they fixed one of their serie B matches.if convicted they wouldn't be going up with torino who won against perugia

and oh god we might have to go to madrid if we want to see raul the great in person.the ioc convention held in my own sunny singapore doesn't allow him and adidas to do some promo deals

second half.

wait we got appetizers first

the cast for the UEFA Cup reads like this

CSKA Moscow(holders)
(X,Y and Z),the 3 intertoto cup winners
Espanyol,Sevilla,and a very lucky Osasuna
Bolton and Boro
Sampdoria,Palermo and an even luckier Roma
Hertha Berlin,Stuttgart,Leverkusen
Auxerre,Rennes and Strasbourg
Vitoria(fifth and bonus from Benfica) and Braga
AEK Athens,Xanthi,PAOK,Aris(thanks to Olympiacos)
AZ Alkmaar(lookin to go to the final this time),Feyenoord,Hereenveen,Willem II(Eindhoven favour they would want to return)
Banik Ostrava,Galatasaray,Hibs,GB Antwerpen

(selected from Q2.ignore the Q1s):Teplice,Besiktas,Dundee United(Celtic lifeline),Genk,Grashoppers and Zurich,Metalurh Donetsk,Dnipro,Brann,Tromso,Groclin(only remembered for that Man C game),Legia Warsaw,Maccabi Tel Aviv,Austria Vienna,Grazer AK,Pasching,Red Star Belgrade,Levski,Zenit,Copenhagen,Djurgardens,Halmstads,Dinamo Bucharest
Viking,Mainz,Esbjerg(Fair Play winners)

heavy?let's get back into the game

41:try again.another conversion and it's 6-45
43:they breaks manawatu as they happily dunk another one.hodgson lashes home for 6-52
46:Williams is so hot.quartet and he happily dives home.hodgson in fact wouldn't mind missing all the rest of his kicks as he shoots wide in another orientation(this time it's the left).6-57 for the Lions
48:terror.immediately after a try they fired like a SMG and scored AGAIN.this time it's shaw who does so.Hodgson fires like a shotgun to make it 6-64
52:one more try.with the Lions almost always in the Manawatu corner,it's easy to do so.hit 100 guys.O'Gara's first kick flies wide.6-69
55:OMG.O'Gara atones for his miss with a try.unfortunately he's having little luck with difficult flank conversions.not bad with 6-74
62:Cueto scores.3rd one down between the goal posts.O'Gara is third time lucky with an easy effort and it's 6-81
64:O'Gara again.this time placing the ball behind the post.funny sial.same position again and it's super 88 for any punters on that game.those cham song kia who say Manawatu lose by 20 something all kena.6-88
69:too bad.no try for Manawatu.then a melee causes someone to snatch the ball and someone's first try.kick, you first, then they wait for you to blunder before going home.O'Gara has a hat trick from the same position right down in the middle and so 6-95
76:welcome to the 100 club Shane, and his 5th one as well.O'Gara?he finally scores from the jinx left position.6-102.then some Lions fans parade in their Incredibles suits...i prefer the shiny armour one in the 1st half
78:stupid move.he hurls up the ball on the sky when he can score.then another guy spills it.to finish it off both sides got sin binned
80:last try and ole!O'Gara hits home the last points of the day to cement the final score 6-109

what a win.if they get their revenge against the All Blacks in their own lion's den it would be sweeter

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/28/2005 05:00:00 PM

more real time reporting.damn that stuttgart first...no wait it's Arsenil.and finally for many readers i wasn't talking more French and Spanish transfers

Udinese:kroldrup the dane left for everton, with 4 from relegated atalanta joining them a few hours later for the champions league hopefuls
Hertha Berlin:released Ilhan Mansiz after the club were reluctant to pay for another contract when the jan-may one expired
Lyon:to make space for Carew, someone got released to Toulouse,Aulas style.this means sudden software updates
Marseille:with so many stuff, they decided to give Vachousek to UEFA Cup hopefuls Austria Vienna(who they have loaned out to very early)
Aston Villa:ex Arsenil goalie joins them.just hope they don't do own goals against Arsenil
Fulham:Watford's Icelandic striker joins them for a good million

yeah back to the rugby.the lions are nursing their bruised egos and they need to get back on track at Manawatu, whom the host said is more like a second division side

2:Shane Williams needs a cam to check if his right foot touched the line when he tried.a classy outside flank fireball that a Manawatu dude came in time to intercept.or so he thought.the ref says it count, and hodgson fluffs his long range effort.0-5 to the Lions
12:another try.what a run and the Manawatu players aren't so lucky this time.hodgson is luckier this time as he converts to lead by 0-12
24:Williams brace.he bluffs the Manawatu guys before smashing a try right in goal.Hodgson easily smashes home as he makes it 0-19
27:wheeeeeeeeeeee...murphy sails through to the middle through the flank to try home.zap! and 0-26
30:robinson tries again in a great flank run.hodgson's conversion can be ignored at all as it is 0-31
33:Manawatu scores a kick at last.3-31 but it seems like that would be their only points scored.unfortunately captain Kemp is sent to the Sin Bin so they are getting into massive trouble
36:Williams hat trick as he skips past an opponent to touch down.the start itself is great.just kick, give and go.hodgson shoots to give it 3-38
38:another penalty as it's 6-38

oh good.6-0 tries and at least something ahead of the Lions test 2

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/28/2005 04:03:00 PM

in a show on whether AJC ppl are realli nerds...check out campusmoblog.com.sg and check our moblog.

as for the AJChoir, their lucky star are shining bright(shimmering in fact) amid a vast blanket of rapidly dimming ones.they went to Olomouc(so much for lying that they went Prague) and did quite well in the choir festival there, successfully gatecrashing AC's party.problem is,rachie told me ac did badly.a more plausible explanation is that AC has a perfect score in a category while losing to AJ in one of them and the rest i dunno

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/23/2005 09:19:00 PM

we have a large cohort of people departing for the western states(maybe not England)

Turkey:Besiktas have signed 3 players,a striker and a defensive duo.all is stable there for now.Anderlecht, meanwhile has signed Akin from those shitters from a free transfer
France:Lille has extended Mousillou's contract, while Dindane crosses over the border from Anderlecht to Lens
Portugal:Benfica's signings under Koeman are getting more and more varied.this time it's a russian going over
England:Portsmouth has signed Viafara from Once Caldas,2004 Copa Libertadores champions and are now awaiting a work permit
Italy:coach changes as Udinese welcome Cosmi and newly promoted Genoa has acquired Guidolin.Meanwhile Gilardino is most likely going to say goodbye to Parma, although he won't say the same to Italy
Spain:a new coach is dispatched to Bilbao, shortly after del Horno has left for Chelsea

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/23/2005 08:47:00 PM

Wednesday, June 22, 2005

Tunisia 2 Australia 0-doesn't matter
Germany 2 Argentina 2-what happens when the Argentines meet Brazil again?they surely will go whack the Germans for putting them in trouble

even more transfers

Man U:has bought Park Ji Sung from PSV for something close to 6M euros
Chelsea:Asier del Horno will officially arrive from the Basque territory next Friday.Arsenil will be trampled by the Chelski Army next season
Lyon:Aulas was unusual this season, not because he has some players trying to get away from the Lyon airport, but he's now starting to welcome players.take for example the new signing from Sochaux, the 2nd in 2 years
Barcelona:Saviola wants to fight for his place, but Riquelme has decided to transfer to Villareal for good.the catch:villareal pays a bomb just for 1 player
Celtic:Zurawski is set to transfer from Krakow, provided 1)he passes his medical and 2)they don't do underhand dealings on the Turkish side
Dynamo Kiev:new coach
Betis:captain Canas has his contract renewed

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/22/2005 08:24:00 PM

Tuesday, June 21, 2005

Southland 16 Lions 26-typical of a defensive German or Italian football team, they recorded a scrappy, though solid win.Henson the nice hair guy shows who's boss with all the tries.the sane can't be said when they meet the All Blacks on saturday

Friday is the champions league and uefa cup qualifying rounds draws.so a morsel of good news is the Pool is seeded.

what about more transfers?

barca:damn that Laporta.he says he can't sign Henry.an asshole never changes their behaviour.the only way to beat the galaticos is to buy him, which means ultimately beating arsenil and ensuring their relegation
Jtus:they are putting money on the table to sign Vieira.hope this deal goes through
Valencia:almost confirmed to get Robert Pires
Southampton:bye Redknapp jr,hello Sir Woodward.this will enrage alot of rugby union fans
Bayern:Ze Roberto has signed a 1 year extension
Porto:they have signed some youngster from Gremio.just hope he doesn't end up in the Seleccao scrap heap like Diego
Brugge:ex malaga player has been lured there to replace a vienna bound croat
Celtic:they need to act fast to kope the stuff from Krakow.or they will kena in the Champs League, esp with a certain Turkish opponent in the 3rd qualifying round

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/21/2005 08:34:00 PM

Sunday, June 19, 2005

South Africa 30 France 30-so closely fought, they made sure they pitched in missed conversions, drop goals and 1 more for the French even if they only managed another draw in the first half

Parma 2 Bologna 0-last miss of the season sees Bologna dumped out of the Serie A

Tunisia 0 Germany 3-last minute attacks saved the hosts skins
Australia 2 Argentina 4-they definitely were no match for the South Americans, although they had the tournament's top scorer after 2 rounds

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/19/2005 05:42:00 PM

Saturday, June 18, 2005

coaching changes-Ricardo is back in france after accepting a post at Bordeaux where Pavon has quit following a heart complaint, while Trappatoni's not coming back to Italy in a short while after signing a deal with Stuttgart that brings him back to German football instead.the ex-udinese coach has decided to go to rome instead

Otago 19 British Lions 30-they were forced to work back from 13-6 down, right until the end of first half where a try hauls them back at a draw.Otago could then manage only two penalties while the lions has 2 tries(complete with conversions) and a penalty to finish a horribly crappy win

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/18/2005 08:13:00 PM

Friday, June 17, 2005

Japan 1 Mexico 2-suckers
Brazil 3 Greece 0-si beh taiko, big time.i'm not talking about 2-1 or 2-0.to fall like this is very stupid of the greeks

Copa Libertadores QF 2nd leg

Santos 0 Atletico Paranaense 2(5-2 to Atletico)-no robinho,no talk.they missed him so much, they promptly lost
UNL Tigres 2 Sao Paulo 1-no such probs with SP since they went through to SF after leading 4-0
and unfortunately, boca are out of the running,to makes things worse,River Plate went in

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/17/2005 08:06:00 PM

Thursday, June 16, 2005

Inter 1 Roma 0-oops i forgot Adriano is in Germany.but with the free kick specialist there,we are hitting some corners as Inter brought back their first domestic honour since 16 years

transfer news: Diouf has permanently transferred from Pool to Bolton for an undisclosed fee, while PSG has successfully koped Kalou from Auxerre after doing the same to Lille by signing Landrin.

Confederations Cup

Germany 4 Australia 3-defence warning by the Kaiser ignored by his commander.what happened was that they nearly got scared after the Australians poked a hole late in the game
Argentina 2 Tunisia 1-they do mean business

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/16/2005 07:53:00 PM

Wednesday, June 15, 2005

otago 3 days later,so is the South Africans vs the French

as the rain continues to fall,so here's the second half

42:they try to work their try through, get grabbed twice and the ref decides to give jonny a kick.he blasts the kick and it's now 6-16
47:lions got a close shave as wellington nearly had a try.3 rollovers and oops
49:another scare.but a lion back returned just in time to veer out the ball before anything happens
58:jonny's rare miss sees the ball weakly dip down towards the bar and oops again,it wasn't counted
78:finally they scored another try.a fortituous one;a snatch,a kick and this dude flies home.jonny converts again to end up 6-23

yawn, the lions are playing an Italian calcio type defensive game...see what happens at Otago

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/15/2005 05:02:00 PM

Lyn Oslo 1 Valerenga 1-they trail Start by a win,and Rosenborg is still stuck in mid table even if they thrashed their opponent 4-0.to start off, here's a horror summer run-in with Brann,Valerenga and a trip up to the arctic circle.by then i think they will lose one of theirs, although i don't think they will pose much problems against Brann.as for the guys from Oslo, they haven't have any news about John Obi Mikel yet, unless they want police to search for him

Djurgarden 0 IFK 0-acceptable enough
Helsingborg 0 Malmo 1-if i did punt in this i would have hit it big time

Parma 0 Bologna 1-hit

now

Wellington vs Lions

jonny's out at last.

0.5:goof a kick by jonny.never seen in NZ before
8:0-3.jonny hits a kick
24:jonny fires another penalty to lead 0-6
27:wellington pulls one kick back.3-6
29:Lions came so close to having a try,but they have difficulty breaking through defence
35:what a try.peels away from the supervision of the throw in ppl, then it was just internal passing before jenkins strolls to the line.jonny smashes in the resulting conversion after looking for where to hit and it's now 3-13 against the home side
40:wellington kicks one home.6-13 to end the game

dominating but shackled tight by the defence

1 day later...

Malmo vs Djurgarden-lick this home at 2-1

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/15/2005 04:00:00 AM

Tuesday, June 14, 2005

Wellington vs British lions:after doing badly aginst Maori,we are thinking what they will do before the main course, which is the all lacks.expect a narrow win with a few tries

Parma vs Bologna-8 players crocked very much means the death knell for the gialloblu.unfortunately gilardino and 5 other guys are suspended.put bologna to win for both legs 1-0 if they are also suspended for the other leg

Inter vs Roma-with adriano in sizzling form, bet this dude to score one more.other than that, decide the results yourselves.you can even consider a roma win at 2-1 or 1-0 but this is not quite advisable.a higher quality alternative will be 1-1 or 2-1.punt at your own risk

2005/2006 european rugby cup draw

1:Munster(IRE),Castres(FRA),Sale(ENG),Newport-Gwent(WAL)

champs league roster

group:
Barca,Real Madrid
Chelsea,Arsenil
Jtus,Milan
Bayern,Schalke
Lyon,Lille
Benfica,Porto
Olympiacos,PSV,Sparta Prague,Fenerfarce

Q3:(you will see the losers in the UEFA Cup)
Villareal,Betis
Man U,Everton
Inter,Udinese
Werder Bremen,Monaco,Sporting CP,Panathinaikos,Ajax
Slavia Prague,Rangers sux,Club Brugge,Basel,Shakhtar,Rosenborg,Wisla Krakow

Q2:a whole array of other teams

Q1:Pool confirm get in

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/14/2005 08:41:00 PM

a typical bbq:wings required.potato and corn needed too.lots of soft drinks and satay

something atypical:no wings, juz a few piece of chicken cutlets, lots of fishballs, hashbrowns, nuggets and honey.and wait...some special for the guest of honour.

now my hair's tastier than any normal smoked salmon in the supermarket

yawn

so before i exit, here's a recipe for some of the most stylish steak you'll ever eat, especially from a bbq grill

200g or so hunk of ribeye, striploin or tenderloin(prefably organic.if you can't get French imported ones,go to Cold Storage Bukit Timah or Jelita or Paragon Marketplace,Raffles City or Tanglin Mall for the better Australian beef.those gourmet shops in Bukit Timah also stock great beef)

marinade

it's odd,but there's just 1 ingredient.XO(what we usually call cognac).pour so that everything's covered in the special stuff.marinate in the fridge for 4-9 hours(4 for a hint,9 if you want something assertive),flipping the meat every hour.half way through, jab the meat with a sharp knife and pour some more XO.if it is to be brought to somewhere else to barbecue, wrap it in foil right after the fortification.otherwise put back to fridge

baste

melt some butter, enough to last you the whole bbq-ing process.whip in thoroughly the same brand of XO,a bit of sugar that has been flavoured with the XO(to do so,pour a suitable amount of XO such that it flavours the sugar and makes it moist.flavour again just before starting to put in butter).(note that i prefer a French butter bought from Carrefour.if not any European butter should do the trick)

grilling

a good fire is essential.normal firewood would suffice in all but the most stylish versions, where oak chips would be better.build a fire in the normal way,and when it's quite hot,add more coals.the pyre would be quite hot.careful and put the meat on the grill when the embers are red hot and at it's peak.

cooking

flip the meat every 1-2 mins for medium and 3-4 mins for well done(not so stylish),basting the meat with the butter liberally(be careful of the virulent smoke) and flip for 5-10 times either side.for the last time, baste as per normal, when you flip, add some XO so that it sizzles.turn again, repeat the trick, dish up and serve with potatoes, hashbrowns or just straight

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/14/2005 12:09:00 AM

Monday, June 13, 2005

back in bucharest, steaua has pipped dinamo to the championship.rapid come third because of a better head to head result against national

in kiev, shakhtar vs dynamo next week is a mere formality as the miners took the title with one game left.shakhtar can look forward to a third round qualifier while dynamo has a second round slot

adriano vs roma.2-0.that's why chelsea wants him.the only problem is the toot boss of inter who buys flops and sells talent.betis though had it harder as they snatched a 2-1 extra time winner.

on who's going up,in spain alaves(2002 uefa cup finalists) are guaranteed back into the big time after 2 seasons, while genoa will have sampdoria again next season, this time after 10 years.empoli follows them up and one of these 4 teams would join them too:perugia(relegated last season),torino(last seen years ago),treviso(noobie),ascoli(i don't know how many eons ago)

of course being the off season we can concentrate on transfer gossip.sheringham has signed another year with west ham while schalke bought kuranyi from stuttgart, who are now increasingly being robbed of all their stuff

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/13/2005 11:44:00 AM

Saturday, June 11, 2005

Springboks 134 Uruguay 3-yawn...20 tries to nil(13 conversions for good measure) and a penalty for the South Africans and a penalty for uruguay.you know what...forget about uruguayan rugby...i can't wait to see forlan again...i gonna have to steal villareal tapes by hook or by crook so i can have my fill of the round ball(which wouldn't start until august.for now we have to be content with some fringe events)

but at least we have some scandinavian league action going on...and transfer wise nonda of monaco has transfered to inter milan instead of jtus as many had spectaculated.whether this would be moratti's another flop remains to be seen

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/11/2005 10:51:00 PM

sorry i was busy so no real time reporting of the 2 rugby matches that elapsed just now.the next best thing though is to give you updates

Australia 74 Samoa 7-12 tries to 1.ht 28-0 and they thrashed the Samoans in the second half.the samoans are now moaning what the hell the irb did to help them chase such powers

NZ Maori 19 British Lions 13(ft 6-6)-here's a stern warning that there will be no expectation of an easy All Black tie.all will be so hard they will snuff any life out of any lion.if you can lose against the younger brother of all blacks...then we can say it's game over for the Lions.too bad they were lullued to thinking that the all black younger brothers are just as weak as the provincial sides BOP and taranaki.they paid for it

more and more soccer...this time we decide to jet from auckland to bucharest, where dinamo need to win in order to win the romanian title.forget it.steaua is winning it this time, because they would win, which rules out any crap unless decided by a court of law

next up,Betis vs Osasuna at the copa de rey.since osasuna are more or less guaranteed a uefa cup spot,i think they may draw and then win on penalties

inter vs roma.according to what i know,we are thinking of a late Inter win as Adriano will take a long time to shrug off jet lag but way before those romans realise they are going to lose by a goal, particularly when numbed by the fact they were guaranteed uefa cup spot

and latest:pool are allowed to defend their champs league title-from the first qualifying round.problem is...if they were extremely unlucky to meet man u or everton in the 3rd qualifying round...whoops

so according to the new list, with the title holders(pool) playing Q1,the Turkish champs(which is the f****** f****) go straight into group,Polish champs go to Q3(from Q2),Romanian champs(which is most likely steaua) to Q2(from Q1),and in the UEFA cup roster, the Scottish and Belgian cup winners go straight to round 1.Russian cup winners,CSKA don't need to consider about a UEFA qualifying round, since they are the UEFA Cup title holders actually(auto first round).in fact the Hungarian,Romanian,Slovakian and Slovenian cup winners can happily start from UEFA Cup Q2.

to sabotage people, they found the Kazakhstan cup winners and league runners up to leave them with no euro football next season, although the champions still get a champs league Q1 qualifier.it is very likely that the man who once helped them into UEFA would become a hated man for robbing their Euro football...

which means...the lucky ones in the Q1,Q2 n Q3 get enhanced gate receipts due to Liverpool's reds getting painted on their stadiums

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/10/2005 06:42:00 PM

41 pts.not as crazy as the first half...but 4 on debut for a noobie definitely means business.if the lions think they could trample on the first 3 like how they did in their last few games...they will definitely get whacked by the all blacks.how i wished they hit 100 pts...nah...juz watch this space for more SANZAR crap,Australia vs Samoa,SA vs Uruguay..and Lions vs Maoris

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/10/2005 05:00:00 PM

as always the all blacks mean business with a 50-0 half time lead against fiji with 8 tries and 4 conversions.

5+,13+,16+,21,27,32+,36,39

how many tries will there be in the second half?stay tuned to find out

2nd half under way.taranaki vs lions

47:brilliant run at right flank pays off for Lions as the try ends up on a photo finish(a taranaki player dragged the scorer in a failed bid to sabotage the lions).the Lions claw back into the game now leading 7-11(no conversion)
55:hodgson penalty again now doubles lead to 7-14
57:another penalty makes it 7-17
66:what a try.flank melee confuses taranaki and the lions slipped past undefended.7-24(try+conversion)
72:another try as taranaki are now done in.this time it's the left flank, flying thru after a scrum.hodgson converts again, making it 7-31.
75:another try again.murphy's second try on the right flank turns taranaki into no more than a tatami mat being slashed by a sword.the speed of it makes it similar to classic stuff of classic matches.7-36 and the local side are all goners
80(IT)-taranaki salvages some pride with a try.too little too late.14-36 is the final score

apparently taranaki has stepped on the lion's head instead of the tail as BOP had done and they were thrashed miserably in a frantic 30-7 run during the second half, especially the last 20 mins.

Jose Luis Fabiano at 6/08/2005 05:00:00 PM

wait first:former France coach Jacques Santini is installed at Auxerre to replace Guy Roux.whether Mr Roux will do another comeback after a few weeks like what he did in 2001 remains to be seen.i hope he doesn't have to do such a desperado measure.as for Carlos Bianchi,ex-coach of Boca Juniors and Rennes,Atletico has recruited him in order to counter Real and Luxemburgo, who is Brazillian, and ensure Euro qualification, which Ferrando didn't do and hence sacked.lastly the only foreign coach in the Serie A has left Lecce

what about transfers:

Rosenberg-Malmo to Ajax.poor Malmo are seemingly making reckless decisions...soon after he was sold,Skoog was injured and will be out for most of the Allsvenskan season
Arveladze-Rangers to AZ.AZ third signing

real time reporting is a first in the Dugout Times...so showtime.Lions vs Taranaki which one out of 10 said the latter is going to win by a narrow margin while 2 predicted a massive thrashing...no way for both.it's a

2:oops...a taranaki player's game of a lifetime lasted just this time....
4:Lions sneak thru in vain and then got caught for forward passing
9:0-5 is it?too bad for the lions.it was a stylish forward pass that pisses off the purists
13:mistaken identity
17:hodgson got gang-banged enroute to a classy run.penalty by same person makes it 0-3 for Lions.quite bad by all means
30:horrible lions pass nearly made it an own-try.phew they didn't
31:first try of the game,finally.7-3 for the home side(try+conversion)
34:hodgson nearly tried.whoops.taranaki were later caught shirt pulling and wwe style antics.another penalty.7-6 but still unimpressive lions.
40:what a kick.but an own try by taranaki means that they pulled them back 5m.they fluffed it and half time is 7-6.what an uphill task

more worthy games this week-ignore the qualifiers in asia and europe and watch the argentina vs brazil one instead.i think there will be a 1-1 or score draw as the full squad of brazil would get drained in buenos aries but not to the extent of being sapped mysteriously like being sucked blood by a vampire

and too bad the Celtic rugby league is going bust as the Welsh flew kite and played with the English

what about transfers...latest:van der Sar of Fulham has transferred to Man U on a 2 year contract, and within a week, they would very likely get Park Ji Sung of PSV,given that the latter were more or less resigned to losing the Korean before his contract runs out and they curse their luck instead.

Bay of Plenty 20 British Lions 34-i particularly like the sweet try scored towards the end by the lions.just run past and score.omg that's great rugby...drew 17-17 after fluffing away a 17-0 lead in the first half, then their class showed.it would be tough for the Lions though against Taranaki after they struggled in the first half and Dallagio was crocked as well

Auxerre 2 Sedan 1(aet)-a giant killer stopped dead in its tracks by Bonnie.actually it's a B&B show, but who cares though

dedicated to someone who will always be in my heart whether as normal friends or eventually as my companion

Five-Closer To Me

Constantly girl you're on my mind
Girl, I think about you all of the time
And even though words are hard to say
Girl I miss you, never thought I'd feel this way

If you keep on taking
My heart you'll be breaking
So why do you do this to me?
You know how I'm feeling
It's you I believe in
Baby can't you see that I need you?

You know that it's true
Every time I see your face I miss you lady
You know that it's you
I wanna let you know you're driving me crazy
I'd do anything to help you to see
I don't think you understand what you're doing to me
You know that it's true
Every now and then I wanna call you lately
You know that it's you
I send a prayer that you'll come back to me lady
Oh yeah
Life ain't anything alone, can't you see?
You're an angel in my eyes
Everyday, you're closer to me

Nobody's there when I call your name
And nights are cold girl without your flame
Nights are cold girl without your flame
But if I could girl I'd make you see
(I'd make you see, yeah)
That I'm sorry, that I need you here with me

If you keep on taking
My heart you'll be breaking
So why do you do this to me?
You know how I'm feeling
It's you I believe in
Baby can't you see that I need you?

You know that it's true
Every time I see your face I miss you lady
You know that it's you
I wanna let you know you're driving me crazy
I'd do anything to help you to see
I don't think you understand what you're doing to me
You know that it's true
Every now and then I wanna call you lately
You know that it's you
I send a prayer that you'll come back to me lady
Oh yeah
Life ain't anything alone, can't you see?
You're an angel in my eyes
Everyday, you're closer to me

Everyday reminisce about the past
Of a love that we thought would last
How we used to be when it was you and me
How did it all disappear so fast
There are days that I can't forget
There are things that I now regret
I was there for you when you were there for me
And I was thinkin' we were set
Every night when I'm laying in my bed
I hear your voice going round in my head
Think of all the things I could have done and
All those things I could have said
I really will make it up to you
I know now what I've got to do
It took time but now I've realised how much I'm missing you

If you keep on taking
My heart you'll be breaking
So why do you do this to me?
You know how I'm feeling
It's you I believe in
Baby can't you see that I need you?

You know that it's true
Every time I see your face I miss you lady
You know that it's you
I wanna let you know you're driving me crazy
I'd do anything to help you to see
I don't think you understand what you're doing to me
You know that it's true
Every now and then I wanna call you lately
You know that it's you
I send a prayer that you'll come back to me lady
Oh yeah
Life ain't anything alone, can't you see?
You're an angel in my eyes
Everyday, you're closer to me

You know that it's true
Every time I see your face I miss you lady
You know that it's you
I wanna let you know you're driving me crazy
I'd do anything to help you to see
I don't think you understand what you're doing to me
You know that it's true
Every now and then I wanna call you lately
You know that it's you

You're an angel in my eyes
Everyday, you're closer to me

here's an unusually hectic wednesday

morning

maths o:duffer cocked and blacked out on seeing the paper

evening

victoria concert hall.because of a few kakis there,i've decided to come for their concert.unusual on all counts because i've to pay upfront instead of getting a ticket ready for ushers to check.and victoria has an old style cinema feel...no use sitting on the stalls becuase you get a view similar to the higher circles of esplanade.the hall looks as if we are sucked into a timewarp of the 1960s with all the romanesque pillars...so their repertoire as always...

Russlan n Ludmilla Overture-Mikhail Glinka

anything russian?no.sounds more like a march

Invictus-Philip Starke

stays true to what was claimed.definitely uprising

Sorcery Suite Opus 112-James Barnes

I thought he doesn't read Harty Potter?nvm, cuz the characterisation is quite good, except for Snape's part

Time to Take Back the Knights-Stephen Milillo

RJ did the ghost of medieval knights reference which was lacking in there but amply compensated with a more harder percussion

break

moved out from the stall seats for the circles.this time, getting a stall seat isn't really the best seat as you dun get to get a great view of the stage

Stage Band-basically that was an edit of the Emperor in New Clothes.you know what i mean.something to wake ppl up before the more serious stuff

Magic Overture-Thomas Doss

i missed the second part when i went to eat because i was so famished.from the first part,it's generally ok and well held on by the guy student conductor

Phantom of the Opera-Andrew Lloyd Webber

every band loves this piece.it's slower by half a beat and the main fave part was sorely lagging until nearly the end

NSB Millenium

Part 1 of the Beethoven and Strauss remixes.it looked as if both composers were drowned in techno and they dunno how to swim out of this mess

Dancin Megahits

another remix.but this one's slightly better, though my preference is for more traditional symphonies

very unusual because they played the school song at the end.it's highly unusual actually

encore-forgot piece

i hadn't intended to rub in into open wounds following the May 20 post...but here's the lowdown on the A Div season and who are the winners

Soccer

A grand shocker as MJ beat the traditionally powerful VJ on penalties.they had previously thrashed the former the last time they met and i wonder if it's once bitten twice shy.Boss did feature in the final.2 win and 2 defeat consigned AJ into the rubbish bin after the 1st round

Basketball

Lebron is one of the happiest men around as TJ returned with a title after a few years, winning against the HC ********,who took the girls one.AJ screwed up their semis and their placings

Rugby

This cup was for Wei Kong.although saying good things about AC ppl is a cardinal sin of monolithic proportions among many AJCians,AC deserved to beat RJ 23-0 even though i'd rather have a RJ narrow win.as a well wisher i wish him all the best in his recovery

Cross country

AC are honest this time.they were mistakenly put first but after their teacher in charge noted the discrepancy RJC were given the title instead. That's for guys. The girls is a much more clear cut and simpler story altogether.RJC went lalala as they ran hard and then strolled to both titles
Hockey

another internal trade between VJ and RJ.guys RJ got first(grats Big Boss) while as part of a coincidence VJ got first for girls.then they happy-happy exchange second places for the opposing team.aj got dumped out before the semis.i mean both

Cricket

as my Big Boss had said...finally RJ took the title home

Waterpolo

At least AC could prove they are still powerful by beating the HC ******** for the title.cheerios this once.Rj unfortunately screwed this once

Bowling

AC didn't have the individual ones.but they could still prove without much difficulty why team work rules.they got the ladies title but lost the guys one to SA,which HJ must have been playing unless he was derided as a noob.RJ got bowled over

Netball

AJ were defeated by those ******** and it was credited to AC to condemn those ******** to hell after winning.unfortunately too, they screwed their placings as well

Squash

RJ coped both.being a sympathiser of the Griffins...yay for once.forgettable season for us

Softball

RJ and Vj exchanged 1st and seconds.RJ got the guys one and VJ got the girls one.then they decided that they need seconds to complement their firsts...so rj has girls second and vj had the opposite number

table Tennis

HC ******** were disqualified from the guys one since they fielded an ineligible player...they got their just deserts for acting like as if the committee are ********.reuben and gang hit rj hard as they cope the guys title.they had a consolation though as they won the girls title.we got third but that's about it

Wushu

TJ and Vj had took girls and guys.ultimately a futile attempt.my shifu(master) took 3 golds and chris had one to her name

Badminton

at least something when RJ sweeps the title.i dunno if our gang had screwed up their placings too

Volleyball

a first ever title for JJC(girls) and another richly deserved title for NYJC(guys) was played under the backdrop that AJ the traditional powerhouses had a disastrous season as they got 4th for both.tj had a few of my kakis but they faltered where it mattered

seeing from all these,we aren't surprised if a few fans decided to raid their training sessions and berate them like those Ultras when they are displeased with their team's performance.all these just shows how ppl see us as a nerd school, and i even heard people are resigned to AJ being a nerd school.F*** u.i do not believe in this crap.brush up your performances for next year or we will really bring Ultras to harass you every training session
